Grace Uncharted Cancer Foundation for Single Parents began as a thought during my cancer treatments. It has since become a reality and a large voice in the community. I am a single mother of two elementary age children and was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma. What do you do as a single parent facing one of the most frightening moments of your life? I found myself scared, alone and without insurance. My children were looking to me for support and emotional guidance. I struggled to stay strong for them yet inside I was falling apart. Most of the support groups I found, encouraged spousal support as your number one source for help. I had no spouse. It was then I decided to create an organization designed to be just that, support for the single parent. I intend to empower other single parents affected by cancer with the love and support I know is so desperately needed at that vulnerable time. With your help, Grace Uncharted can make a difference in the lives we touch.
