After a busy summer its hard to believe by our warm Santa Barbara weather that winter is falling upon us!
Vicki and I enjoyed a benefit for the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation at the Four Seasons Biltmore here in Santa Barbara hosted by Linda Armstrong Kelly, Lance Armstrong’s mom. It was an awesome event. I got to speak with Linda a bit and she is a remarkable woman. She shared with us stories from her book No Mountain High Enough ~ Raising Lance and Me.
She has definitely been through a lot in her lifetime and I think I can honestly say we all took a bit of wisdom home with us. For those of you who haven’t read her book I suggest picking up a copy. It’s a great read! Thanks Linda!
We have decided to feature a parent this month in hopes that it will encourage communication between those of you going through similar diagnoses.
Victoria is a single mom of 2 boys, 3 and 5 years old. She has stage 4 breast cancer and resides in Santa Rosa, California. Please feel free to email her your thoughts, stories or words of encouragement at . She looks forward to hearing from you!
